Hi, I'm Nick. Thank you very much for visiting my RUclips Channel. This is a place where I explore and cover different things in life that are the most meaningful to me. My hope is that I will inspire others to be curious, observe the beauty in the seemingly simple things, and enjoy them thoroughly. I want to share with others elements in life that often go unnoticed. They are things that you sometimes have to look really hard for, and for a very long time, but are always worth the hard work that it takes to find them. I want to start a spark of curiosity and passion in all who watch my films. I hope that you enjoy.
Close Up Solar Eclipse! Summit Lake State Park, Indiana - 2024
I drove down to Summit Lake State Park, Indiana with my mom to view the total solar eclipse. The weather cooperated nicely, and it was an experience that I will never forget. Included in the video are beautiful shadow bands, pink solar prominences, and up close video footage featuring C1 - C3 filmed with a 600mm lens on a Sony a6400. If you ever have the chance to see a total solar eclipse, I would highly recommend it. It can change your life.

My best friend and I were sitting on her back porch and a lacewing flew in from of my face, it looked like a fairy in the light! I fought it and he hung out on my hand forever. The iridescent wings had me mesmerized🥰
They are an electrical phenomenon. That's why they can be anywhere. You are seeing the charge travel across the surface of the earth in Birdland currents. The scaled up version is a tornado, cyclone etc. just add more charge.
What a beautiful video to stumble upon. You taught me a lot about these gorgeous creatures, one of my favorite birds. How can you not love a bird that eats grape jelly! 🤭 Thank you so much for this very well done documentary. The music, photography, and video blended together seamlessly. Well done Nick!
Nice to see you again after more tan ten years, Nick. I remember a video from you chasing dust devils on a place full of machines working surrounded by trees... I also remember you used to upload videos of whips... Greetings from Spain
I’ve had a spider living on my back porch for about 6 months. I check on him every day. Not sure the type of spider he is. But the web he’s build is absolutely stunning
How do you make that
I will have 10,00 dollars
🎉🎉🎉
Going back to the bit about trying to disturb a heated area to create a dust devil on command, during Halloween time a popular thing to make is “low lying fog” which ideally carpets the floor with a layer of fog. I have done this and seen very small vortices form sometimes when someone disturbs it just right or sometimes they form completely on their own usually right next to a sewer (It provides a weak updraft somehow). I’d be willing to bet if you used a fog chiller on asphalt on a sunny day with barely any wind, you could disturb the air a little and see whirlwinds form since the heat from the sun will create a stronger updraft. Fog is also perfect for this since it’ll show any tiny whirlwind just like your demonstration did
The flip brought me instant joy, lol. I love bugs! One of my kids has a love of spiders, but a surprising fear of flying insects. I'll show her this video, as I suspect it will ignite appreciation for them. Thanks!
It upsets me that this video didn't get enough views
Thank you. It is oftentimes very discouraging to put so much work into a video and have very few views, but that's just the way it goes.. Thanks very much for watching!
Because of your video I copied (not the hand feeding part) and am now feeding a family of robins too. Its been 1-2months and mom comes right up to me on my back step. I need to get her used to me being on the patio and grass too so I. An work on getting closer to her /them.
I had a whole bunch in my apartment coming in through my bathroom window all in bathtub. I got no beef with them but stay out my house
Hi my name is patty Love your video I live in Alberta Canada I seen on in my yard 6years ago only for one day 🥺this year they are here ! 3 of them 2 males & 1 female they are amazing I have been giving them oranges love the sound of them too we have fires in BC and the USA tornadoes so do you think this is why we have them ? There is not many of people that have seen them like I have in my yard so excited would they have a nest made yet ? it’s may here Thankyou 🦜
What a wonderful video 😊 I have just bought 1000 lacewing larvae to control aphids on my roses as I no longer want to use chemicals in the garden, I released them today and cannot wait until they become adults that will start breeding and leaving me so many more babies that will grow into more adults etc etc Thank you for your beautiful camera work showing me how absolutely gorgeous these little creatures are. I am looking forward to watching all your videos you have a friend for life from Liverpool UK ❤❤
I'm in Utah and Mama Tweet Tweet built her nest in a low artificial tree on my front patio! I'm befriending them all. Video documenting progress from eggs to now three babies alive which I've petted,! Amazing! Thank you!!!
I’ve seen you talking about cold air funnels, but I don’t know what they are. Have you made a video on them, because I really like these types of storm videos.
Saw one at my school in Arizona today
You should thy to create dust devils in nature by using many fans in a circular shape or doing the methods in the video, there is also a lot of large dust devils in the sonoran desert in Arizona
bro is the pecos hank of dust devils
did you know this tornado would go on into Perryville Missouri destroying a lot of people's houses
This was definitely a different tornado, but thanks for watching!
<3
Captured four lacewings in my truck. Beautiful insects, but they stink. My fingers smelled like I handled poop.
Entertaining and informative video of your cool adventure! My son and I went dust devil chasing with a friend today on a small dry lake here in Alberta and despite cumulus cloud shadows and moderate wind we still managed to see one. Will definitely try again using your tips.
This is sweet man, I love it
My niece calls them lacee-wings.
I've always wanted to have a spider as a pet, the spider I'm wanting is a black widow.
THE EDITING IS UNDERRATED!!!!!!
I once saw a dust devil going across the street which it was more just swirling air from a dust devil that was picking up leaves but then it went into someone’s yard and it looked like a Full on tornado! But like a mini one and I’m surprised it didn’t leave a mark on the ground because that thing had a Strong and I mean STRONG updraft lifting up rocks! Until it hit a metal fence and died out :edit: it wasn’t a tall dust devil being no taller than a regular 1 story house
Great video! We were the weirdos sitting right next to during this adventure asking all the questions! I couldn’t wait to see what you captured on camera.
Thanks so much for watching, Danielle! It was great meeting you and your family.
Do these insects make any noise audible to human ears?
Pay attention to the road and sloe down
Remington Indiana whew that was a close shave
My favorite bug ever I have them all over my porch
Great video Nick! You really captured the experience well
Those dang bugs have been everywhere this year. They smell like mothballs and bite. Dunno why they just showed up outta nowhere this year but I'm not a fan 😢
Thank you for sharing this! I’m on year 2 of friending my Robin. I call her mama because she raised a nice brood. I left last years nest on the ground, I noticed yesterday the old nest is gone, a new one has been constructed in her same spot. I wonder if she reused some of the materials. She’s letting me get so close now ❤
I'm sitting here with the door wide open & there's a dozen lacewings flying around my living room. I grabbed one midflight. I opened my hand to let it go & there was a foul smell all of a sudden. I searched YT about lacewings & came to your beautiful video. I enjoyed it thoroughly. Thanks.
That was awesome and incredible - great job - great production - Put together very well. Now I want one :)
Incredible video, bro. Criminally underviewed. Are those shadowbands in the clouds??
Really interesting
You did it!
Thank you so much, Destin! I'm honored to see your comment. It was through your videos that I learned about this amazing phenomenon.
I have twice seen this from an airplane…Nick…you captured the amazing!
wow, these are what i see in the shadows on my wall (from my east window early in the morning on a hot day)
This was great.
Hope you are still watching for comments, I have a video that I would like your opinion on. Lacewing or an actual Fairy. Not a joke. Please get back to me. Sandra from Australia 🧚♂️🤞🤞
Hi Sandra, I looked for your video but could not find it.
RUclips needs more RUclipsrs like you fr 🔥
BRAVO! Beautiful. Touching without being sappy and great shots. Thank you. (Where can we find that great photo of the male at the nest?)
That was amazing. I found your channel while looking for how dragon wings might displace mist above a river. This video was absolutely perfect and very beautiful! Science and art together. Thank you so much.
Its so satisfying to see it whirl around.
